Sash horns can be one of the key features to giving your home a traditional look. Originally sash horns were an integral part of making a timber sash window. Mock horn sash windows provide a similar style of window with the advantages of a standard hinged window. At a distance these ‘bolt on’ horns can give the appearance of a sash window, but on closer inspection they are just a standard top opening window.

The main reason for choosing a horned sash window over our UPVC sliding sash window is usually cost. Sliding sash windows aren’t cheap. This is due to the level of engineering and required skill to fabricate sliding sash. If you are looking to add some extra character to your windows but don’t want the expense of an opener that slides, mock horn sash windows could be the answer. Our horned sash windows are also available in different finishes / colours offering an extra touch of class. Call us today to arrange a quotation.

Obscure glass options

For privacy, a different style or to allow more light into a room without a view, our obscure glass options could be exactly what you are looking for. We offer different designs from classic to modern all capable of allowing maximum light through whilst maintaining your chosen privacy level.

Five levels of privacy

We offer five levels of privacy graded from 1 (least obscuration) to 5 (greatest obscuration). All glass is available in toughened or laminated maintaining privacy and security.

Glass upgrade options

Acoustic.

Acoustic glass considerably reduces outside noise, especially near busy areas such as motorways, main roads or airports. We use two varying thickness of glass, providing increased sound insulation.

Toughened.

Toughened glass is up to five times as strong as ordinary glass which means that it has to be hit much harder to break, If it does break, it cracks into small pieces, which are much less dangerous.

Laminated.

Laminated glass has the same strength as standard glazing but includes a plastic interlayer. If the glass gets broken this layer holds the whole pane in place so that there is no hole in the window and no chance intruders can enter.

Triple glazing.

If you want to keep as much heat in your home as possible triple glazed windows are the way forward. That’s not to say that double glazing isn’t effective it’s just that the additional pane of glass will help retain more heatwaves.

Colour finishes

We offer a wide range of window finishes designed to offer a modern or classic look. Our white is 100% virgin meaning it will always stay white and still remains a popular choice. Coloured finishes such as grey and black continue to grow in popularity and could be the answer in providing your home with a tailored look making you the envy of all your neighbours. Not sure if we can manufacture a different colour? Ask us! We offer free advice and will provide an honest opinion if you’re considering choosing a different colour for your home.
